All about the written word

The written word is a powerful tool.
It can hold the key to your credibility, your powers of persuasion
and your ultimate success.
 I'm Melanie.
I'm a friendly writer and editor – a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) – with a keen eye for detail.

How can I help make your writing the best it can be?

I've a strong business background having worked in Marketing and Communications for over 20 years with some truly global brands
in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg.

But I've an academic background, too, and specialise in the Humanities and Social Sciences,
particularly historical subjects, the arts, literature and languages.

Welcome to "Take it as read - making perfect sense"

“Take it as read” is my brand promise

"Take it as read" is an English phrase and means you can confidently assume (something) can be completed as agreed.
Rest assured that your manuscript is safe with me.
Whether it's a business report, a book, an academic article or a thesis,
I will do my best to help you write the perfect text to convince and persuade your audience.
